Australian TV shows

                                                          Now this is a weird topic

Australian TV shows are by far some of the most middle ground weird shows you can find from title to characters they are both weird and fun. these shows are remembered in aussie kids heart and minds for ages.

i will run down some old show that appeared on the ABC and the BBC.


first:

Little Elvis Jones and the truckstoppers

The title character of the series is "Lil' Elvis". The opening sequence and music reveal that he was thrown out of a Gold Cadillac in a guitar case, hinting that he is the illegitimate child of Elvis Presley. He is raised by foster parents, Grace and Len, who are fervent fans of Elvis Presley. Lil' Elvis is musically talented, singing and playing the guitar and his foster mother is convinced he is the son of Elvis Presley.

Lil' Elvis and his two friends, Lionel and Janet, form the band "The Truckstoppers", and the series follows their adventures in the outback town Little Memphis/Wanapoo. Lionel is an Indigenous Australian who plays the didgeridoo, and has a penchant for exclaiming "deadly". Janet is a beret wearing Asian girl who plays the drums.

The Truckstoppers recurring enemy is the businessman W.C. Moore, who wants to become their manager to exploit them commercially, turning Lil' Memphis into a tourist attraction. he is also obsessed with finding deposits of the mysterious mineral Berkonium. He has a Berkonium marble, which he uses to beat children at the game of marbles, their major recreational activity. He also frequently electrically zaps his hapless limousine driver.

Round The Twist 

Based on the works of paul jenning.

this show was like other shows like Tales from the Crypt and Are you afraid of the dark but more aussie.

it had some freaky stories but out of context they are even more weird.

like a teen pisses on a tree and get pregnant.

or a boy that uses a Razer that had not been pasted down to him and keeps growning a beard.

or a Evil Dust bunny.   

Johnson and Friends 

now if you want some strange TV then look no harder then Australian Live Action Animal suit tv shows like Johnson and friends

this was just a simple kids tv show where Friends learn lessons about friendship and other kiddie stuff but what made it special was that they had made one HUGE stage for all of the show and that the show made you feel like you were toy sized.

but the costume are the scary part because of the good old dead eye look of old tv shows.





well that was my first dive into the weird world of TV. i will do more on the weirdness of tv in the future

TF2 Mann vs Machine Review

So Last review i said that Levelling is a stupid idea in FPS like Cod and in Battlefield. pointless system locking guns till you have gone though hell and back just so you can get a AK-47

but levelling Can work in games that are not RPGS

GTA: SA had a leveling system of sorts and Crackdown is a perfect example of a third person shooter with a good leveling system

why do i bring these things up?

Because the new TF2 Update adds a leveling system

WHY?!?.

so this new update is short of a tower defence co-op gamemode

it up to you and a group of people to fight off robots and stop them from blowing up a hole in the ground

New enemies 

The Robot Army 

Now we have the TF2 Bots. robot forms of the classes found in the normal game but with some twists

But there are other bots

THE GIANT BOTS

these are bot 10 times bigger then the normal bots and are more powerful

these are pains in the ass to kill

they take way more hits and can deal pain like they own the Store of asskicking and you are in the buying mood

as far as i can see their are around 4 giant robots

Giant Scouts

these are some tough Assholes with Powerful weapons and some times THEY COME IN PAIRS

And there are the Tank and the Sentry Buster.

The Tank

The Tank is just  a brick shit house that can't kill you. no really it can't kill you, All it does is take a bomb to the hole with no defence on it at all. it got alot of health but does nothing to you. does not run you over or have lawnmower blades on it 

it is easy to take down but it takes some time to kill

The Sentry Buster

and the the sentry Busters AAAAAAAARRRRRRRR

I HATE THE SENTRY BUSTERS

if you are playing as a engineer you will learn to HATE THESE

they are walking bombs that aim straight for your sentry and can't be stop unless they are killed first but this thing has a HUGE amount of health for no reason

even if you pick up your sentry it will follow you like a killer in a horror film that blows up

it is the bane of all engineers life

the levelling system 

Well this is new

this new system is ripped straight out of any Tower defence game you can find online

most of the upgrades are useless and you will only put points into a couple and leave it at that

it kind of dumb having a upgrade system at all

but the upgrade do help

i mostly play as scout with the force of nature and getting max power and max number of shoots is game breaking but fun

some are useful like health and reload but some are plan useless like jump hight for the engie

Final Though 
Mann Vs Machine is alot of fun but needs to be worked on a little

from gamebreaking upgrades to overpowered weapons like my force of nature

lot's of fun

bring friends and have fun blowing up robots

Team fortress 2 review

Now TF2 is by far the most enjoyed F2P FPS out there.

But why??.

i will Tell you.

STORY

There is no story you twit

GAMEPLAY

Now this is where TF2 blast off into other world of fun

most Online fps nowadays have a leveling system and better gear as you grow buit TF2 has none of these and i feel that it's better off without these outdated ideas, because now you are allowed to play all the classes without fearing about one being higher then the others and only playing that one class

the classes are all the stranded Types

Heavy

Medic

Scout

but these classes are all balanced well

plus they are characterize well too

the heavy being a funny Russian

the Sniper Being a Aussie

The Spy being classy

Pyro being Crazy

these little thing makes playing other classes quite fun because you have no idea what they will say and how funny it will be

now for the gametypes

well damn there very little gametypes

you get:

Capture The Intel

Capture the point

Move the bomb

and the new one

Mann vs Machine

while this might be little in the way of choice it is a great way to focus the need to work as a team because to truly win a round you need your team to be wotking well or you be getting owned

i would go into the look of the game but i am just going to say that it looks timeless

it's free now so what is stopping you

it's the best bit of mulitplayer fun on the PC

Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition Review

So i started playing the new Monkey Island Special Edition and was shocked by what i was playing

i was new to point and click gaming because the last game i played with point and click was putt putt saves the zoo and now i got Monkey Island 1 and 2 and love both of them

but today i am talking about Secret of Monkey Island.

so the gameplay is as simple as pointing at things and clicking on them (see what i did there). the Special edition added a hint feature and i will thank the gods for the hints because the game is very tight lip about what you got to do next.

at one point you need to go to go under monkey island and find the ghost pirate ship but it's not that easy, first you need to open the gate but you need a monkey to hold the level down so that you can go into the entry point of the earth but you need the key to open the mouth of a giant monkey hat is in the way but only the cannibals have the key but they don't have the key any more because they gave it to a other pirate but the pirate will not give you the keys till you get back his banana picker from the cannibals and then AAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR

the puzzles are madness in game form


THE STORY
now the Story is quite old when you think about it

a whip of a man guybrush threepwood want's to become a pirate but must go though the 3 trials to become one

but that story then disappears when you finish all three tests and you hear the the ghost pirate lechuck has taken the governor to force her to marry him

but what makes this story more fun and clever is the comedy that went into it's writing.

i have never laughed harder at a game.

you will meet great characters and hear many a joke along your way to finding the governor and fighting Lechuck

Verdict

This Game is worth your time if you like your stories to have a good sense of humour and a light hearted journey but pure evil puzzles then go and get this game

it is alot of fun    

2012. a year of the new

so this year started off with the internet been attacked and nobody caring about the poor kids because of one site being shut down. ONE SITE GETS SHUT DOWN and the internet acts like their entire family has been kill right in front of them. i can live without megauploads and you can too. I mean how many OTHER site are there
